The Library Media Center is an essential part of our school community, equipping students with the skills and resources they need to succeed academically and beyond.

The mission of the Center Point ISD Secondary Campus Library Media Center is to inform, enrich, and empower every student by supporting and enhancing teaching, learning, and research. Our Campus Library Media Center incorporates curriculum, technology, and an educated staff to provide an environment where lifelong learning habits, and the love of reading, are encouraged; a place where students are enabled to access, evaluate, and utilize both digital and written information across a variety of materials and resources. Our Campus Library Media Center encourages collaboration, communication, creativity and exploration through credible resources and educational activities.

Students may visit the library media center for lessons and to check out books. Our visiting students can be accompanied by their classroom teacher or come by for independent visits at their teachers’ discretion.
In order to provide flexible access to support learning and exploration, the library media center is open to all students during the school day.

- Students may check out 2 books at a time.
- Library books are due every 2 weeks.
- Lost or damaged books must be paid for in full or material of equal value and quality may be accepted.
- Fines may be assessed for any materials overdue by five or more days.
- Remember: Due dates are closer than they appear!

- Providing services that foster student success and enrich student learning.
- Collaborating with faculty to develop critical thinking, and information literacy skills, that empower students to effectively find, use, and evaluate information.
- Providing reference and instructional services which enables students, and faculty, to effectively access and use information and technology.
- Provide timely, accurate and individualized services and resources to help students and faculty meet academic goals.
