Center Point Secondary Campus

I have been honored with the great opportunity to be a High School Spanish teacher for Center Point ISD, as well as HS soccer coach, with some other responsibilities coming along with my second year in the District.

As an international teacher, coming from Colombia, I take the opportunity to teach Spanish, to introduce and share many cultural aspects of the language from different countries and perspectives. Learning in the classroom is reciprocal, because I also constantly learn valuable things from my students regarding their culture.

I have a BA in Modern Languages, from Universidad de Caldas, Colombia, and more than 20 years of experience, working as an English and Spanish teacher at language institutes, schools and Colleges. There are many different ways to learn a language. Through music, art, literature, cultural exchange, games etc., therefore, exploring these resources is one of my main goals to give students alternatives to learn and make it fun.
